Iran's Jam Petrochemical Company seeks to increase production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9

It is planned to further increase production of Jam Petrochemical Company in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Bushehr province (southern Iran) in the current Iranian year (started from March 20, 2020), said Nader Kazemian Complex Manager for Jam Petrochemical Company, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to Kazemian, the company produced more than 2.5 million tons of products last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

Kazemian added that currently, 65 percent of the company's products are liquefied and 35 percent are ethane gases.

The official said that the increase in fuel, of course, increases the production of plants, and the company's production in general.

"About 65 percent of polymer and butane products are exported," he said.

Kazemian said that repairs began at the company's olefin plant on May 6 and will continue for about 11 days.

Iran's Jam Petrochemical Company has planned to double production in five years, starting in 2016. The company currently produces butadiene, butente, heavy polyethylene (HDPE), light polyethylene (LLDPE) and olefin products.
