BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. The Belgian Jan De Nul Group is expanding its activities in Turkmenistan amid expectations of an increase in freight traffic along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor), a source in the Jan De Nul Group told Trend.

"We are aware of the necessity to deepen the maritime access channels of port infrastructure and operational bases due to the falling Caspian Sea level and rising cargo, focusing on Trans-Caspian International Transport Route expectations," the source said.

The company's representative brought up the fact that the company is in the Caspian Sea and that they have the resources and expertise to quickly acquire and complete any jobs pertaining to this.

"Jan De Nul Group shapes both water and land. We enable the production of offshore energy and maintain the depth of waterways. We build new ports and create extra land," the source added.

Jan De Nul Group is one of the leading international companies specializing in engineering works in marine construction, natural resource extraction, and environmental protection.

Based in Belgium, it is known for its projects on the construction of ports, roads, and embankments, as well as coastal water management and shoreline protection. The group owns a modern fleet of specialized vessels and uses advanced technologies to carry out complex infrastructure projects around the world.
