ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 24. Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Pakistan's National Logistics Corporation (NLC) Director General Farrukh Shahzad Rao to discuss transportation and logistics cooperation, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's MFA.

The meeting, held at the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, highlighted the potential for deepening the well-established Turkmen-Pakistani partnership through enhanced logistics and transit capabilities.

The discussions focused on developing international transport and transit corridors, increasing transit cargo volumes, simplifying customs procedures, and optimizing port infrastructure to boost regional economic integration.

On August 22, Foreign Minister Meredov also met with Kashif Nazir, President and Chief Engineer of Pakistan's Frontier Works Organization (FWO). This meeting addressed potential collaborations in urban development, road and transportation infrastructure, and irrigation systems. The parties discussed leveraging FWO's extensive experience to support large-scale projects in Turkmenistan.

These engagements drive home the fact that both nations are on the same page when it comes to boosting their collaborative efforts in crucial sectors, which will pave the way for more economic and infrastructural development.

National Logistics Corporation (NLC) is Pakistan's top multimodal logistics provider, offering comprehensive transport solutions across road, rail, sea, and air. It supports economic growth with an extensive fleet and infrastructure network, including dry ports and warehousing. NLC focuses on digital transformation and sustainable growth, aiming to be a global logistics leader.

Frontier Works Organization (FWO), established in 1966, is Pakistan’s leading engineering and construction firm, known for building the Karakoram Highway, a vital link between Pakistan and China. FWO handles major infrastructure projects, including urban development, road construction, and irrigation systems.
