The volume of exports of international services of Kazakhstan from January through September 2021 grew, Trend reports via finprom.kz.
This figure reached $4.2 billion, up by 11.3 percent on annual basis.
At the same time, the volume of imports of services into Kazakhstan decreased by 14 percent, to $5.4 billion.
The deficit in the balance of Kazakhstan’s international services decreased in the first nine months of last year to $1.2 billion compared to the same period of 2020 ($2.5 billion).
Two thirds in the structure of exports of international services of Kazakhstan over the reporting period accounted for transport services ($2.9 billion).
Besides, significant volumes accounted for travel ($395 million), telecommunications, computer and information services ($121.7 million) and financial services ($112 million).
In terms of countries, the main volume of exports of services of Kazakhstan fell in China ($1.6 billion), Russia ($769.7 million), Uzbekistan ($263.7 million) and Switzerland ($215 million).
Almost half of the total imports of Kazakhstan’s international services from January through September 2021 were transport services and travel, $1.4 billion and $1.2 billion, respectively.
The significant volumes also fell on telecommunications, computer and information services ($258.4 million) and financial services ($172.5 million).
The top importers of services to Kazakhstan were Russia ($889.9 million), the UK ($520.5 million), Turkey ($394.3 million) and China ($182.3 million).
