BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 22. Trade turnover between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan reached $353.586 million from January through July 2023, Trend reports.

According to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia, this figure is 11 times higher than in the corresponding months of 2022 ($30.057 million).

Exports from Kyrgyzstan to Georgia during the period reached $2.854 million, which is a 31-percent year-on-year increase from $2.175 million in January-July 2022.

On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Georgia equaled $350.731 million, which is an increase of 12.5 times compared to the seven months of the preceding year.

Consequently, Georgia's trade balance with Kyrgyzstan totaled $347.878 million from January through July 2023, in contrast to $25.707 million in the same period of 2022.

Meantime, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia amounted to $97.853 million in 2022, nearly tripling compared to 2021 ($33.130 million).

Last year, Kyrgyzstan’s exported to Georgia goods worth $4.096 million, which is 1.6 times more than in 2021 ($2.410 million).

The country’s imports from Georgia amounted to $93.756 million, rising more than trice compared to 2021 ($30.720 million).
