Auditing Organization's Deputy Planning and Programming Chief said here Wednesday according to Int'l Transparency report Iran's status in campaign against administrative and economic corruption has improved 22 steps year on year.
According to IRNA, Gholam-Hossein Bolandian added Wednesday night at a press conference with Gilan Province local reporters, "During the first six months of the current (Iranian) year (from March 21st on) 8.600 files of administrative and financial corruption have been classified for being sued at courts of justice."
He added, "Majority of those files have been related to the illegal occupation of state lands and delayed payments of debts to the government banks and financial organs, identified by this organ's regular and extraordinary inspections."
Bolandian said that 950 billion rials (over 95 million dollars) of the overdue debts to the government has been deposited in the treasures account of the government during the first six months of the current year and 1.200 hectares of the occupied national lands have been confiscated and returned to the public sector.
