Director of Iran's Supreme Council of National Security (SCNS) Saeed Jalili and the European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton have started bilateral talks in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, Press TV reported.

Ashron and Jalili had held two rounds of separate talks yesterday and today.

The three-round nuclear negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1- the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany, were held in Baghdad on Wednesday and Thursday.

Iran and P5+1 offered separate proposals together during yesterday talks.
IRNA reported yesterday that the Iranian delegation on nuclear talks on Wednesday offered a five-pivot package of proposals to representatives of Group 5+1 led by European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.
At the same time, Ashton's spokesman stated during the talks between the P5+1 countries and Iran on Wednesday that the world powers have submitted a proposal to Iran to reduce uranium enrichment during the Baghdad nuclear talks.
The IRNA reported that the proposal related to 20 per cent enriched uranium, but Michael Mann did not explain further details of the proposal.
The sides have not announced the result of talks, but an anonymous source close to Iranian delegation told Press TV that the prospects of negotiations are "vague and under question if the group rejects the Iran package."
Western countries are concerned that Iran may develop a hidden military nuclear plant, but Iran rejects the claims, saying its nuclear programme is intended to be peaceful.
So far, UNSC has adopted four rounds of economic sanctions against Iran and the U.S., the EU and its allies have slapped even more sanctions on Iran, demanding it to put a halt on its uranium enrichment programme and show transparency in its nuclear activities.
