A Singapore judge added seven months to the prison term of a sacked senior immigration officer found guilty of helping his mistress from China enter the city-state using fake identity, news reports said Wednesday, the dpa reported.
Thong Sing Hock, 50, must now serve a 33-month term, up from two years.
"He will now have more time to reflect on the deplorable nature of his transgressions and come to terms with reality," The Straits Times quoted appeal judge VK Rajah as saying.
Thong, a former Immigration and Checkpoints Authority deputy superintendent who is married with two children, met the woman between late 2002 and early 2003.
He pleaded guilty in March to helping his lover enter Singapore repeatedly over two years using a false identity.
