Turkish Armed Forces continue offensive in Syria’s Afrin

Turkey's Armed Forces took control of almost all settlements along the borders of Syria’s Afrin, Turkish media reported Feb. 26 citing military sources.

Fights are underway over control of a 7.8-km stretch in the west of Afrin, according to the report.

A total of 112 settlements were liberated from terrorists as part of the Operation Olive Branch.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
