Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will meet with his American counterpart John Kerry on the sidelines of the five-year review conference on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in New York next week.

The conference on non-proliferation will start on Apr.27 in New York.

"Mohammad Javad Zarif, John Kerry and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini who leads the P5+1 group will meet in New York," Iran's top nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi told IRNA on April 25.

According to Araqchi, scheduling bilateral meeting with other foreign ministers of P5+1 Group members is possible.

The first round of nuclear talks, after reaching a political agreement on April 2 had been held between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Deputy EU Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmidt in Vienna.

The meetings are aimed at drafting an agreement to be signed by June 30.

Iran and the P5+1 Group (UK, France, Germany, the United States, Russia and China) reached a framework agreement on April 2, which envisions a final deal by June 30.

Araqchi said that the later round of negotiations was aimed to bring clarification on the method of lifting sanctions against Iran.

He said the US and EU have made "good clarification" on the framework of eliminations of sanctions. The drafting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA) started April 22.

Araqchi said that drafting JCPA has been carried out slowly, but progressive.
