The speaker of Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili believes that the cooperation with USA in all spheres, in particular in military sphere is vital for Georgia.
After official reception aboard the USS "Bulkeley", Usupashvili stated that this event has a political significance.
"We are glad that we had opportunity to receive an American warship in Georgia's territorial waters. This is a very significant event," he said.
"American ship will stay in Batumi port for several days; joint trainings will be conducted. Naturally, this event has also a political significance and is important for deepening bilateral cooperation," the speaker of Georgian parliament said.
