U.S. president to visit Russia on July 6

U.S. President Barack Obama will pay an official visit to Russia on July 6 to 8. The visit will take place upon Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's invitation. The meeting was agreed upon during April meeting of leaders of the two countries in London before the G20 summit, Vesti reported. 

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference at the end of the UN Security Council meeting in New York that the Russian and U.S. presidents will discuss the resolution of the conflict in the Middle East. "The visit is being prepared in detail. The agenda will include bilateral relations and international issues," Lavrov said. "I am confident that the conflict resolution in the Middle East will be allotted worthy place," Interfax quoted Kremlin press service as saying.

On May 8, Russian foreign minister visited Washington to prepare American president's visit to Moscow. Before the meeting with U.S. President, Sergey Lavrov held talks U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
