In short order Azerbaijani roadblocks and police patrol cars will be equipped with POS-terminals.
Head of the Department of the Main Road Police Kamran Aliyev told Trend that about 100 police cars operating in the regions of the city, are equipped with POS-terminals of the International Bank of Azerbaijan. He said that this process continues and will be completed in the coming days.
The World Bank and the Main Road Police decided to install wireless POS-terminals in police patrol cars early March so that offenders can pay fines on the spot through these terminals.
AzeriCard Processing Center head Jahangir Mammadov said that the terminals accept fines up to 20 manat. The procedure of paying fines on the spot will be greatly simplified and save drivers' time.
