Some 70 percent of infrastructure works ongoing in Georgian Batumi International Airport have been finalized, Trend reports via the airport's statement in an official Facebook post.
According to the international airport, frame and roofing works have been completed and at this stage facade and inner office division arrangement are in works.
Also, baggage handling zone expansion works and new baggage carousel belt, and new x-ray installation works have been finalized.
“Some 70 percent of underground communication infrastructure works have been fulfilled. Some 80 percent of Mechanic and fire protection systems have also been conducted and at this stage fire hydrants and fire protection automatic spray systems installation works are underway,” reads the statement.
Alexander Kartveli Batumi International Airport is an airport located 2 km south of Batumi, a city on the Black Sea coast and capital of Adjara, an autonomous republic in southwest Georgia.
