Georgia's foreign trade turnover has reached $3124 million in January-April 2012, the Georgian State Statistics Office told Trend on Wednesday.
According to preliminary data, it is 18 percent more compared to the same period in 2011.
Some $726 million of this amount accounts for export, increasing by 11 percent and $2397 for import (20 percent).
The negative trade balance amounted to $1671 million, amounting to 53 percent of the total foreign trade.
Official data on foreign economic activity will be published on May 24.
