As many as 82 oil and gas wells have been drilled and improved by the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 21, 2020), Deputy Director of National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Saeed Akbari said, Trend reports citing the NIDC’s website.
Of these wells, 23 were delineation and development wells, 57 - repair wells, and 2 -exploration wells, according to Akbari.
The deputy director added that 63 of the wells were drilled and handed over on the territory of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), 7 in the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), 7 in Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), 2 in Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) and 3 in National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
Akbari also said that a total of 14 wells were drilled and completed 256 days earlier than planned over 8 months.
"A total of 45,400 meters of drilling operations were carried out during the reporting period," he noted.
