Uzbekistan, Belarus sign memorandum of cooperation in e-government sphere

The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Center for Electronic Government Project Management and the National Center for Electronic Services of Belarus within the framework of the "TIBO-2021" international forum, Trend reports citing Uzbek ministry.

The memorandum was signed following the talks in Minsk, Belarus between the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadykov with the Director of National Center for Electronic Services Roman Gradusov.

The main purpose of the memorandum is practical cooperation and exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of electronic government.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to work together and exchange experience in priority areas of mutual interest, including the development of infrastructure, information systems and e-government resources, the development of a national portal for electronic public services, etc.

National Center for Electronic Services republican unitary enterprise (NCES) is an infrastructure operator of the most important interdepartmental information systems that form the basis of electronic government in Belarus.

Among the main tasks of the NCES is the provision of electronic services for citizens and organizations, the construction of a state system for the provision of electronic services. NCES was established in 2012 at the Operative-Analytical Center under the president of Belarus.
