Kazakhstan Railways strengthens co-op with Belarus

Kazakhstan and Belarus exchanged experience in the field of advanced technologies in production activities, automation of the transportation process and infrastructure development of railway transport, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

The mentioned issue was discussed within the framework of the visit of the Kazakh delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Transformation and Digitalization of Kazakhstan Railways National JSC Anuar Akhmetzhanov in Minsk during a number of meetings with colleagues from the Belarusian Railways.

"Despite the absence of a common state border, cooperation between Kazakhstan Railways and Belarusian Railways is growing stronger every year," Akhmetzhanov said.

It is reported that Kazakhstani railroad workers visited the Transportation Control Center of the Belarusian Railways, the Linear Transport Service Center of the Minsk-Sortirovochny Station, the Scientific and Technical Information Center of the Belarusian Railways, the Minsk-Passenger Railway Station Complex, the Stepyanka station of the Belarusian Railways.

Belarusian railroad workers spoke about the promising areas of development of information systems that ensure the management of the transportation process, the operation of the marshaling yard, information and reference and payment terminals, etc.

It is reported that Kazakh and Belarusian railway workers agreed on further cooperation in the field of improving commercial work, paperless document circulation, and increasing the efficiency of transportation.
