TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 5. The French transport and logistics airline CMA CGM Air Cargo has made its first flight on the route Zhengzhou (China)-Navoiy (Uzbekistan)-Paris (France), Trend reports.
The French plane landed in Navoiy at 06:27 local time. According to tradition, the cargo aircraft received a traditional water arch greeting upon arrival.
Regular flights from Zhengzhou to Paris, with a technical stop in Navoiy, will be operated five times a week on Airbus A330 cargo aircraft.
To note, CMA CGM Air Cargo, a major French cargo airline headquartered in Paris, was created in 2021 as the aviation division of the CMA CGM transport group.
Additionally, Uzbekistan's international airports were buzzing with activity, handling a whopping 25,360 flights from January through March 2024. This indicator has shot up by 40 percent compared to the same period last year.
A grand total of 8,022 flights took to the skies on domestic routes, while a whopping 17,338 flights soared on international routes.
