In the first seven months (from March 21 to Oct. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, exports of goods via Bazargan border of Iran's West Azerbaijan province have increased by $105 million in monetary terms, the head of Bazargan Customs Administration Sadegh Namdar said, Trend reports via IRNA.
During the reported seven-month period, goods worth $147 million were exported via Bazargan, Namdar said.
For comparison, in the same period of the previous year, value of the goods exported via Bazargan reached almost $42 million, Namdar added.
The customs official added that the exports also increased by 18 percent in terms of weight.
Cargo transit via Bazargan border has decreased by 10 percent in monetary terms, while increased by just 1 percent in terms of weight, Namdar said.
Iran's West Azerbaijan province shares borders with Iraq, Turkey and Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
