Trend:

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister and top diplomat leading Iran's negotiation team in the JCPOA Joint Commission Meeting, Abbas Araqchi, said the negotiation sides are close to signing a new agreement to revive the JCPOA, also known as nuclear deal, Trend reports via Tasnim News Agency.

"It seems that participating sides in the JCPOA Joint Commission are reaching a new agreement. In Iran's opinion it is time to draft this joint text, at least in the agreed fields," he said after the end of Vienna meeting.

"We have reviewed the reports of working groups, there have been good discussions in the joint commission meeting and it seems a new agreement is forming and there is a common goal among everyone. The path to be taken is now better known than before," he said.

"Although this path is not an easy one, but there are some serious disagreements that need to be reduced in the future negotiations," Araqchi said.

"We have stated before that we are not interested in long term negotiations, as long as the discussions need to be clarified, negotiations will naturally continue," he said.
