Deportation of Gaza aid ship passengers delayed

The deportation from Israel of passengers and crew seized on board a Gaza -bound aid ship has been delayed, because some fo the deportees refuse to sign waivers not to initiate legal proceedings, DPA reported according to Israel Radio on Sunday morning.

All potential deportees have already been transported to Ben Gurion Airport, the report added.

The aid ship, the Rachel Corrie, was seized Saturday afternoon by Israel Navy ships, as it was on its way to the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The seizure, which Israel says was carried out with the full compliance of the crew and passengers, took place after the ship refused four demands to change course and sail to the Israeli port of Ashdod.
