Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 May / corr Trend M.Aliyev / On 15 May a joint expert group on border delimitation and demarcation between Azerbaijan and Russia will leave for a region of the Samur River, dividing Azerbaijan and Russia.
"Groups will leave for the Samur region tomorrow [15 May] to define what to do with the bridge connecting the two countries," Georgiy Karasin, the Russian deputy foreign minister, stated in Baku on 14 May after the talk at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Afterwards, decision on the interstate level will be made.
Two border sections are still disputable between Azerbaijan and Russia. This is a section near the mouth of the Samur River in Gusar District and a section covered by forests in Khachmaz District.
Some 90-95% of the 370km-long Russian-Azerbaijani border has been coordinated.
