Georgia, Tbilisi, 10 September/ corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / American Congressmen appreciate sensibly the situation in Georgia and the international related to it, David Bakradze, Chairman of Georgian Parliament told media. He has recently taken part at the meeting of the US Congress Committee on Foreign Relations.
"They are well informed of Russian aggression and know how to support Georgia" Bakradze stated.
The Committee discussed current situation in Georgia. Daniel Frid, Deputy Secretary of State also made a speech at the meeting. The discussions at the Committee and the position of American Congressmen persuaded him getting the US aid donated to Georgia, Bakradze expressed his confidence.
"The United States itself is much more in need of one billion dollars in aid, which it allocated to Georgia", Russian media reported citing one of the Congressmen of the US Democratic Party.
