Georgia, Tbilisi, 24 November / Trend corr. N.Kirtzkhalia/ An idea to simplify a procedure of receiving Georgian citizenship belongs to the government and this legislative change was initiated at a meeting of the parliament on 24 November.
In accordance with a bill, qualification of obligatory residence in the country is reduced from ten to five years to receive Georgian citizenship.
Moreover, conditions to receive Georgian citizenship are simplified for persons, who are married with Georgian citizen.
The parliament will examine the bill within few days.
