Azerbaijani customs officers seized a large quantity of drugs from Iran and Georgia.
The officers searched a truck carrying salt to Azerbaijan owned by Rashadat Archaliyev, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee reported.
The officers found 10 packages with the inscription "Saf Instant" on the tires. Ten kilograms of marijuana was found in the packs.
The officers also searched a passenger bus traveling from Georgia to Azerbaijan near the Sinigkorpu check point. The officers found 33 types of drugs in the bag of Georgian citizen Ismayil Mammadov.
Based on information received from citizens traveling from Georgia, the Georgian officers found the abandoned bag on the opposite side of the Sinigkorpu check point.
The incidents are under investigation.
