The Azerbaijan State Border Service today has opened a center for training guard dogs. The opening ceremony was attended by the State Border Service chief Elchin Guliyev.
The new center is equipped with a dormitory, dining room, bathhouse, photo lab, X-ray room, a veterinary point, open-air cages to keep the animals (100 - for big and 58 - for small dogs) and training grounds.
The center will provide training regarding the best practices on the use of animals in the protection of borders, when detaining individuals who illegally cross the border, combating attempts of terrorist acts and the protection of special public facilities.
