Azerbaijan-Italy relations discussed in Rome

Deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov discussed prospects for the development of Azerbaijan-Italy relations on Jan. 12-13 with country's officials in Rome.

During the working visit, the deputy minister made a report at NATO College in Rome on topic "Security in South Caucasus region in the Euro-Atlantic context", met with the leadership of the college, and discussed prospects of development of the ties of this prestigious educational institution with the relevant agencies of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press center reported.
During the visit, Azimov met with presidential adviser on foreign relations of Italy Stefano Stefanini, deputy foreign minister Alfredo Mantica, chairman of the standing committee on the European policy of the Italian Senate, the head of the parliamentary group of friendship between Azerbaijan and Italy Rossan Baldy and discussed bilateral relations, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, energy security and other issues.

Azerbaijani diplomat also made e speech at the International Relations Institute of Italy.
