Azerbaijani President receives Russia’s special representative for CIS Affairs

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received special presidential representative of the Russian Federation for CIS Affairs and chairman of the Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Russian Cooperation Agency) Konstantin Kosachov.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received special presidential representative of the Russian Federation for CIS Affairs and chairman of the Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Russian Cooperation Agency) Konstantin Kosachov.

Konstantin Kosachov delivered greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to the Azerbaijani leader and congratulated him on the Republic Day.

He recalled his participation in the ceremony dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev`s memory in Moscow not long ago.

Stressing the successful development of cooperation in different spheres, especially economic and humanitarian ones between the two countries, Konstantin Kosachov noted the importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum on expanding of relations in a humanitarian field.

The Head of State said that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing successfully

President Aliyev underlined the deep-rooted historical relations between the countries and noted that high level of cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres would contribute to boosting relations in other fields.

The sides discussed issues of mutual interest.

Azerbaijani President expressed gratitude and asked Konstantin Kosachov to extend his greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
