Baku, Azerbaijan, August 10. Sixty observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) and 40 from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) have been registered to monitor Azerbaijan's parliamentary elections, said Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan, during a briefing, Trend reports.

Panahov also noted that representatives from the parliaments of Türkiye, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Russia, along with observers from GUAM and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, will be monitoring the elections.

On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and scheduling a snap election for September 1.
