Georgian expert: We Should Reinforce North Borders with   Russia with Anti-Craft Facilities

Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Irakli Aladashvili, the Georgian military expert, considers necessary to reinforce north borders of Georgia.

"The Georgian Government should set up the system of anti-craft and anti-missile facilities on North border with Russia.

The Georgian Internal Ministry reported on 7 August that two Russian aircrafts violated the Georgian airspace on 6 August. One of the aircrafts fired 700 kilogram bomb on the territory of the country. According to Shota Utiashvili, the head of the Department on Public Relations of the Ministry, the incident happened in Tsitelubani village on 65km to north-west from Tbilisi, Reuters reported. This village is situated near the administrative border with the South Osetia.

The chief commander BBC of Russia denied the information about the Russian aircrafts fired bombs near Tbilisi on 6 August. "The Russian aircrafts did not violate the Georgian territory on 6 August," Alexander Dobishevski, the assistant of chief commander of BBC of the Russian Federation has stated to Interfax-AVN.

According to Aladashvili, presently, Georgian has no equipment to protect the country from aircrafts violated its territory. Aladashvili recommended to Georgia to set up anti-aircraft and missile facilities on the North border with Russia to evade similar actions in future. The expert did not exclude possibility of violation of the Georgian border by Russian aircrafts casual as BBC of Russia has been held trainings near the territory of Georgia.
