Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 March / Trend corr. Z.Safarova / Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of Nefchi football team, will resign from his position. Abdullayev is now elected as head of AFFA.
Responding to questions from journalists, Abdullayev said his busy schedule does not allow him to take on the two positions. "I do not know who will replace me, but I wish him very success," Abdullayev added.
Abdulayev said it was difficult for him to speak about the composition of the new team. "I believe that only sports lovers can succeed in sports. I hope the composition of my team will be formed in the near future," Abdullayev noted.
Abdulayev was more decisive towards the new coach of the national team and stated he would refuse from Joko Hajiyevski service. "We need a renowned coach with experience that can lead our team to another level. However, the team can succeed with input from both the coach and the manager," Abdullayev stated.
Abdulayev said he would attend in the country Championship and not be biased towards any particular team. "I wish success to every Azerbaijani football team. For example, when Khazar-Lankaran reached the final Commonwealth Cup, we went to support our team, and I congratulated the team on their success."
