Azerbaijani citizens abroad have lodged complaints at the European Court, Azerbaijani representative to the European Court on Human Rights Chingiz Askarov told journalists on Feb. 20.
Four appeals were lodged against Russia and one against the Netherlands for infringing freedom.
Since 2002, over 1,600 appeals have been submitted to the European Court. Most were rejected.
The European Court made 16 decisions against Azerbaijan. These decisions are for infringing property rights, not executing court decisions, refusing to register NGOs and infringing the right to assembly.
