The sufferers of the fire that broke out in a multi-story building in Baku will be provided with temporary housing, head of Baku City Executive Power Hajibala Abutalibov said.
The sufferers will be temporarily housed in the cottages and sanatoriums, Abutalibov, who visited the scene, said.
He added that today, all residents of the building will be provided with 1,000 Azerbaijani manats worth compensation regardless of the damage.
The average sum of the damage will be determined by May 20, Abutalibov said, adding that those whose apartments have burned down will be given a large amount of compensation.
The mayor added that currently an investigation is underway by Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The suspect is the head of the Global Construction, Miryusif Mahmudov, who is accused of using low-quality cladding materials during the cladding of the building.
