Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / Faramaz Novruzoglu (Allahverdiyev), the incarcerated journalist of the newspaper Nota bene, may be operated on again, Rafael Mehtiyev, the head of the Health Department of the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan, said.
Allahverdiyev was transferred to another Medical Centre, Mehtiyev said. Mehtiyev noted that a tumour on the bowel was revealed as a result of an examination caused by previous operations. Allahverdiyev was operated on several times in 206.
At present, the journalist is being examined. An operation will be held in the case of Allahverdiyev being admitted to the Medical Centre of the Penal Service.
Allahverdiyev is being detained in prison 14 of Gizildash settlement. Allahverdiyev was arrested at the decision of Narimanov District Court by a lawsuit brought by Ramil Usubov, the Interior Minister, and Nazim Ibrahimov, the chairman of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad. A criminal case has been filed with contravening Articles 147 (calumny) and 148 (insult).
