Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Some 2mln ton of grains is forecasted in Azerbaijan in 2007, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry reported.
The State Statistic Committee reported some 1.8mln ton of grains gathered by 1 October 2007, the figure made up 1.9mln by 1 October 2006. The average harvest per one hectare increased to 26.2 centners compared to the previous years.
Corn harvest made up 146,700 ton in 2007, which is by 2,900 tons more as compared to 2006. The Agriculture Ministry reported it was planning to gather more 10,000 ton of corn.
