К.Кonirova / The Caucasus will become one of the priority directions for Kazakhstan to diversity oil transport corridors, gas, and wheat transport which makes up Kazakhstan's main export goods in the world market through the use of Black sea ports, Zurab Shurgaia, the Georgian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, said to Trend .
"I repeatedly heard the statement by your President and want to note that each of the programs he mentions in his statement included many new directions for further development of the country," the Georgian diplomat said after Nursultan Nazarbayev's speech in the Parliament.
The Ambassador stated that he was particularly interested in plans on implementation of the larger transport projects, which the Kazakhstan President noted in his statement. The issue is implementation of the Western Europe- West China trans continental corridor, which will follow the route of the Great Silk road laid centuries ago via the Caucasus.
This diplomat considers Kazakhstan's approach to transport strategy as relevant for his country [ Georgia].
Another issue touched upon by the Georgian Ambassador, was the issue noted by Kazakhstan President concerning the 'Way to Europe' program. "The fact that Kazakhstan will preside in OSCE in 2010 is very relevant for former USSR countries as a good example and stimulus for development," the Ambassador stated.
