Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 March / Trend / The total turnover of transactions on all instruments on the Baku Stock Exchange made up AZN 1,536,463 over January-February of 2008. This exceeds the same period of the last year by 448.17%.
98.73% of transactions fell to the share of government securities.
It should be noted that the growth in stock exchange activity was not registered in all parts of the organized securities market. In the corporate securities sector a reduction was observed. So, an 82.21% and 97.85% decrease was observed on the equities primary and secondary market, respectively. Besides, no transactions were held on T-bills in the secondary market. The largest growth was observed on the repo- operations market and Notes placement market (see: the table below).
