Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 November / corr Trend U.Ismayilova / The World bank (WB) assists in creation of a new system of management and register of state property in Azerbaijan, the State Committee of Management of State Property said. These measures are taken within the frames of Registration of Real Estate project jointly implemented the Azerbaijani government.
Presently, the WB mission is in Baku to hold discussions with specialists of State Committee in the direction of ICT (information communication technologies) development, as well as to get familiarization with repair of regional offices of the committees, which is envisaged within the frames of the project.
The bank's expert said during the meeting that one of main goals of the project is to provide effectiveness in using and management of state property, as well as improvement of united and centralized system of registration.
Intensification of institutional potential of the committee and improvement of administration is envisaged within the frames of the project.
Last week, WB experts held meetings in the Azerbaijani State Service of Register of Real Estate.
In July 2008, the Azerbaijani government and WB signed a credit agreement on creation of a system of united cadastre of real estate. The project included four components - registration of real estate; management and register of state property; basic cartography and the land cadastre; training, formation of policy and project management. The budget of the project is $38.57mln with $30mln of them falling on the share of WB loan. The loan was allocated for the 20-year-term with a grace period of five years.
