Netherlands Ambassador visits Sheki district (PHOTO)

The Netherlands Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Arjen Uijterlinde made an official visit to Sheki district, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands reported on Thursday.
During the visit he met with the Chief of the Executive Committee Elkhan Usubov. In their meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction about the results of co-operation, notably in the sphere of dairy- and aquafarming.
Opportunities for intensified co-operation were explored.
The Ambassador presented the Netherlands assistance programme "Enterprises for enterprises" which offers short term consultancy to small and medium sized enterprises wishing to work with Netherlands experts.
During his stay in Sheki, the Ambassador visited the companies Sheki Agro Industry and Troutfish.
In the sphere of culture, he was introduced to UNESCO-cultural heritage of the Khan's palace as well as the Alban Church in Kish.
The Ambassador's visit coincided with Sheki celebrations of 20 years independence, in which Mr.Uijterlinde participated. In his speech he congratulated the people of Sheki on the economic and cultural achievements in the region over the past two decades.
