Georgian wine association and Russian Federal Service to hold meeting

A meeting is likely to be held after the New Year between the Georgian Wine Association of the National Wine Agency and the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare. The meeting relates to the issue of returning Georgian wine to the Russian market, Georgian Prime Minister's special representative on Russian-Georgian relations Zurab Abashidze told media today after a meeting with Georgian producers of alcoholic beverages.

He said the Russian side will be invited to meet and discuss the details of re-establishing Georgian products to the Russian market.

Abashidze assumed that the meeting will be held in Moscow, although he does not exclude it being held in Tbilisi.

Georgian Minister of Agriculture David Kirvalidze said that Zurab Abashidze will organise a meeting with head of the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Gennady Onishchenko.
