Azerbaijani Finance Ministry to purchase equipment for FARABI system

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance has announced a tender as part of a Corporate and Private Sector Accountability Project (CAPSAP).

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance has announced a tender as part of a Corporate and Private Sector Accountability Project (CAPSAP).

This was stated in a report by the Tender Commission, published in the official press on Monday.
The tender envisages the purchase of equipment and software platforms for the FARABI system. The tender winner must carry out these activities within 180 days starting the signing of the contract.

Participation fee in the tender is 160 manat (or $ 200). Bids are accepted until 15:00 March 12, 2013, the tender procedure will be held at 15:00 on March 12.

The FARABI system consists of SERP components for financial and accounting reporting management (including the following modules: Accounting, General Ledger, Personnel, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Financial reports), Oracle BI for analytical reports and Clix LMS designed to manage the training courses for users of FARABI system.

The initial phase of the project will be completed within 14 months.

It is planned at the initial stage to connect 35 public and private higher education institutions as well as four ministries.

The total cost of the CAPSAP project is $ 24 million. A loan agreement on the project was signed in September of 2008. The project is financed by a loan from the World Bank to the tune of $11 million, one from the Japanese PHRD Fund for three million dollars and SECO (two million dollars in grants), as well as the Azerbaijani government (eight million dollars).
