Iran’s gas condensate exports through Pars Special Economic Energy Zone customs increase by 48 percent

Gas condensate exports via Iran's Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) customs have increased by 48 percent during the first four months of current solar year (started on March 21) compared to the same period last year, Director General of the PSEEZ Customs Department Ahmad Pour Heidar said, Fars news agency reported.

"Iran has exported some 2.295 million tons of gas condensates valued at $2.918 billion through the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone during this period," he said.

Pour Heidar went on to note that the mentioned statistics indicate 48 percent in weight and 80 percent in value increase, compared to the first four months of last solar year.

It should be recalled that the declared statistics are almost same as the gas condensate export value during first quarter of the current solar year.

Iran has exported more than 2.3 million tons of gas condensate valued at over $2 billion from PSEEZ during the first quarter of the current solar year, Press TV quoted on July 2, Pour Heidar as saying.

Pour Heidar noted that in total, 5.989 million tons of goods worth $4.772 billion have been exported through PSEEZ during first four months of the current solar year, which indicate 19 percent in weight and 9 percent in value increase, compared to the same period of last solar year.

According to the report, China, Japan, UAE, India, Indonesia, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan are the main target countries of exported goods.

Iran also has imported 67,818 tons of goods worth $592.447 million through PSEEZ customs during this period.

Imported goods mainly include refinery facilities and chemical products which being used in petrochemical industry and development of South Pars Phases, the report said.
