Siemens joins in on several industrial, energy projects in Uzbekistan

Delegation of Siemens company, headed by the president of the company in Russia and Central Asia Dietrich Moeller, visited Uzbekistan on October 9-10.

The officials met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and the local partners of the company, to hold discussions on joint projects in the energy, industrial and other sectors of the country, Uzbekistan Today reported.

The delegation also discussed further technological partnership and the construction of a plant for the production of synthetic liquid fuel in the Kashkadarya region with the first deputy chairman of Uzbekneftegaz NH Ulugbek Sayidov during the visit.

The company also talked on issues of modernization of the Syrdarya thermal power plant, the possibility of using Smart Grid technologies and the development of wind power in Uzbekistan, during the meeting with the representatives of JSC "Uzbekenergo."

Among the top priorities of the German company regarding Uzbekistan was also the cooperation in the field of railway track automation, which was discussed with the managers of Uzbekistan Railway.

“We consider Uzbekistan as a promising market and intend to develop cooperation with our partners not only in the energy sector, but also in the field of industrial production, transport, automation and security of buildings,” said Dietrich Moeller.
