In January-November 2018, 66,965 ships arrived in Turkish ports, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
The ministry stated that 35,518 vessels sailing under the flag of Turkey and 31,447 vessels sailing under the flags of other countries arrived in Turkish ports during this period.
The gross registered tonnage of all vessels during the mentioned period amounted to 748,566,247 tons.
The gross registered tonnage of the vessels arriving in Turkish ports under the flag of Turkey amounted to 137,177,854 tons, and the gross registered tonnage of the vessels under the flags of other countries was 611,388,392 tons, the ministry stated.
The ministry noted that in November 2018, 5,349 ships arrived in Turkish ports.
The ministry also noted that in November, 2,794 vessels sailing under the flag of Turkey and 2,555 vessels sailing under the flags of other countries arrived in Turkish ports.
The gross registered tonnage of all vessels in November 2018 amounted to 64,317,302 tons.
The gross registered tonnage of the vessels arriving in Turkish ports under the flag of Turkey amounted to 11,562,785 tons, and the gross registered tonnage of the vessels arriving under the flags of other countries was 52,754,517 tons, the ministry stated.
