By Rashid Shirinov – Trend:

Kazakhstan's Pavlodar region is ready to supply meat and vegetables to China, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The agreement was voiced at the meeting between the region's governor Bulat Bakauov with the management of Xinjiang Sanbao Industry Group.

"We see a great interest from Chinese consumers in Kazakhstan's environmentally friendly food," Bakauov said.

He noted that the Pavlodar region is ready to develop mutual cooperation in all areas, especially in the supply of meat and vegetable products, as well as raw materials for feed production.

The governor of the region further invited Chinese investors to implement several projects being prepared in the Pavlodar region: on the development of the aluminum cluster, metallurgy, chemical industry and agriculture.

"China remains one of the main Asian trading partners of the Pavlodar region: China accounts for more than 20 percent, or over $846 million, in the total trade of the region," Bakauov added.
