Russian company to start producing trailers in Uzbekistan

Russian company “Orsk trailer builder” intends to build a plant for the production of a wide range of trailers and semi-trailers with a carrying capacity from 2 to 24 tons in the Naryn district of the Namangan region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the Uzbekistan embassy in Russia.

Russian partners are ready to make direct investments in the amount of $3 million for the implementation of the project.

In March 2019, the owner of the Orsk trailer builder, Alexander Malyshkin, and the director of the Orsk trailers company, Yevgeny Shovkun, visited the location of the future production and discussed issues related to the construction of the plant.

In addition, the Russian partners got acquainted with the activities of the enterprises operating in the region and cluster for the production of textile products.

During the meetings, the Russian side was presented with comprehensive information on the trade and economic potential of the region, the fiscal and other benefits and preferences operating here, and conditions for doing business.

The negotiations were held in Tashkent with representatives of Uzavtosanoat and Uzagrotekhsanoat Holding afterwards, which discussed the expansion of mutually beneficial investment and industrial cooperation.

Following the results of the meetings and negotiations, the parties signed a roadmap for the project. It is planned that construction work will begin in 2019, and the enterprise itself will be commissioned in 2021.
