Uzbekistan’s Uztextile Association concluded export contracts with Azerbaijani companies for the supply of textile and sewing-knitwear products for a total of $9.2 million, Trend reports citing the press service of Uztextile.
Over $6.1 million of this amount cover the export of ready-made garments, hosiery and carpet products.
A delegation of the Uztextile Association took part in the business forum of entrepreneurs of Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states (CCTS-Turkic Council), which was held in the capital of Azerbaijan Baku within the framework of the VII Summit of the Turkic Council on October 14-15.
During the visit to Baku, the delegation held talks with representatives of companies of the textile industry of Azerbaijan such as Baku Textile Factory LLC, Giltex LLC and Noor Group LLC, on the establishment of direct cooperation with enterprises of Uzbekistan, including industrial cooperation and the supply of Uzbek textile products.
Following the negotiations, memorandums of understanding were signed with Giltex LLC and Baku Textile Factory LLC on the development of bilateral cooperation.
