By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

The state-owned glass factory located in Azerbaijan’s Garadagh district is increasing the export volumes, director of the factory Zaur Yagubov told Trend.

“The factory will export the products to the Central Asian countries,” the director said.

“We plan to export the products to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, as well as other countries of the region,” Yagubov added. “In our estimates, the factory may export up to 100 million bottles a year. The initial supplies of goods to the markets of these countries may start from 30,000 bottles. But we intend to consistently increase the export potential."

“The factory’s plans are quite ambitious,” the director added. “We intend to actively use all the mechanisms envisaged for the export and transportation of our products outside the country."

“A creative team consisting of qualified personnel, including foreign citizens, works in the factory,” Yagubov said.

"Presently, the factory is actively working on the development of a new production line,” the director said. “In accordance with our estimates, a new production line will make it possible to produce 50-60 million glass bottles annually. A new production line is planned to be developed till late 2019.”

The Garadagh glass factory, founded in 2018, is one of the enterprises of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.

The factory, equipped with modern Italian equipment, is located on a 22-hectare-area. It has the biggest production potential in the region.

Most of the raw materials are imported from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries.
