The prices of food items increased by 0.7 percent in October 2021 compared to September 2021 and by 8.9 percent compared to October 2020, Trend reports citing the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.
The prices of non-food products increased by 1 percent compared to September 2021 and by 7.8 percent compared to October 2020, whereas prices of paid services went up by 0.5 percent compared to September 2021 and by 6.9 percent compared to October 2020.
An increase in prices was noted for eggs by 7.2 percent, fresh vegetables by 5.5 percent, granulated sugar, poultry by 1.4 percent each, potatoes by 1.2 percent, bread by 0.7 percent, pasteurized milk by 0.6 percent, pork, buckwheat groats by 0.5 percent each, sausages, pasta, flour by 0.4 percent each. A decrease in prices was recorded for fresh fruits by 1.5 percent.
The increase in prices for cars was 3.4 percent, household goods - 1.1 percent, clothing and footwear, pharmaceuticals - 0.4 percent each.
Summer blend of diesel fuel rose in price by 16.6 percent, liquefied gas in cylinders by 6.4 percent, firewood by 2.6 percent, coal by 2 percent, gasoline by 0.9 percent.
